Tokyo-born Yuko Sano began her international career as a concert pianist at the age of 8 in Salzburg.
She has performed worldwide and at the age of 15, had her concerto debut alongside the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and in October 2013, made her London debut at the Southbank Centre. She was invited to New York to record for Steinway’s worldwide SPIRIO catalogue. The British government granted her the prestigious “Tier-1 Exceptional Talent” UK visa in recognition of her remarkable international musical career.
Yuko Sano is a Steinway Artist.
Yoshimi Sano is a collaborative pianist and a founder of Piano Patio Tokyo, a music school which welcomes young piano students from around the world while producing masterclasses and concerts in the wider community. As a soloist, she has appeared with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and has been invited to perform in Europe and music festivals across Japan. After graduating from Ueno Gakuen University with numerous awards and scholarships, Yoshimi Sano taught piano at her alma mater for 36 years before devoting herself to her work at Piano Patio Tokyo.
