From the majestic opening through dance movements including a beautiful Sarabande, the Bach 5th cello suite makes a wonderful opening to this recital. Joined by pianist Richard Shaw the duo will give an imaginative programme finishing with the popular Cello Sonata by Martinu, a work filled with a feeling of Czech style.
