Monday 4 July - Paul Harris – Clarinet and Bethany Phillips – Piano The "singing" clarinet Radcliffe Centre 1pm
The musical heritage of the 'singing' clarinet has inspired so many wonderful tunes throughout its history. This recital will explore some of the beautiful and often intriguing pieces to have come out of music conservatories and other teaching institutions around the world and will include works by Debussy, Lefévre, Massenet, Bartok, Hindemith, Howard Ferguson and others.
Paul Harris has an international career which frequently takes him to all corners of the globe giving masterclasses, adjudicating, performing and presenting workshops. He has nearly six hundred publications to his name and his books on education have won awards.
