Monday 4 July - Craig Greene – Piano Operatic fantasy Radcliffe Centre 11 am
Mozart Sonata in C major K.330
Brahms 6 Piano Pieces op.118 Stevenson Peter Grimes Fantasy
Craig currently studies on the piano Masters course at the Royal College of Music, London with Ashley Wass. A notable recent concert was the first performance of a new edition of Kotzwara’s Battle of Prague, edited by Paul Harris, at the European Piano Teachers Association.
The operatic fantasy was a type of composition much favored by nineteenth century composers but far less frequently written these days. This masterly fantasy by Ronald Stevenson will certainly be compelling listening.
